Kevard Adventures are changing their format in 2012.

We will be doing more "Guided" rides and four smaller rides, where we will cater for a smaller group of riders.  (Between 60 and 80 riders)

This will allow Kevard Adventures to offer a more personalised experience, with less congestion and traffic on the track!

Events will start and be run the cottage in 2012.

Safety is of primary concern at Kevard Adventures.

The nature of our sport is such that despite all precautions, accidents can happen. At Kevard Adventures, through the use of warning boards and extensive use of candy tape, hazards on the track are marked and red Day-Glo markers are used to show the route. ( Similar marking style to Hare Scramble Marking )

Although as much attention as possible is given to marking the track as safely as possible, Kevard Adventures cannot be held responsible for markers and hazard markings which are damaged or removed by riders during the course of an event.
Riders need to ride with caution and excercise common sense when they approach a section of the track which they deem to be technical or potentially dangerous.

No riders will be allowed to participate in a ride unless their bike is in good working order and the rider is wearing protective clothing.  (Protective clothing means a helmet with a chin strap, long pants, gloves, goggles and reasonable footwear).
Riding boots are preferable but should a rider arrive with normal boots or covered shoes, they will be allowed onto the intermediate or novice route, but at their own risk.

When routes cross busy farm roads, marshals are used to assist riders and to ensure their safety.  At no stage will any track cross a national, provincial or district road.

"I did it in Dumisa"

Kevard Adventures celebrated its 21st Fun Ride in 2011. Way back in 2003 Kevin Cole and a few friends decided to start having regular monthly rides on the farm Kevard, on the  KwaZulu Natal South Coast. This monthly get together rapidly grew in popularity until the group got so big that Kevin had to start marking a track for all to follow. In July 2004 the first bike ride was held to raise funds for a local primary school. This ride was dubbed “The Dumisa” and was held again in 2006. This was such a success that later that year Kevin launched Kevard Adventures and the rest is history. With over 30 official fun rides held, countless guided bike rides for smaller groups and Bike launches and Press days for Yamaha Distributors, Kevin and his team have certainly been busy.

"I did it in Dumisa" has become the trademark for Kevard Adventures.
