August 2010

The A-Team rode up to Ellesmere for an awesome day’s riding. Brad, Steve, (Mr T), Bryn, Johan, Alec, Greg, Craig, Chris and Kevin enjoyed the day. Here the 2 wheelers stop for a picture just before “Cell Phone”.

Bryn took the original line up “cell phone”, while Craig took the new straighter line. Congratulations to Craig for being the first quad to make it up.

Below, Alec rides though the Moyeni stream on Ellesmere.

From Moyeni stream we rode down to “Rocky Road’, which from the picture really lives up to its name.

Gregg and Steve had a romantic moment embracing near the end of the rocks, we never knew you two were so close Steve!

After “rocky road”, we then tried the new break called No 10. Still very soft and new, I think it has a lot of potential. Covering three compartments, it has a nice steep start then a nice off-camber (seen just in front of the riders in the picture) followed by another uphill scattered with stumps and rocks.

Alec and his bike near the top of a hill climb in a fallow compartment. Any guesses at to what is going through his mind…. ‘What The … Was That?’ comes to mind.

LH Picture: This is what happens when you help your mates out, they leave you at the bottom of the hill and ride up leaving you to sweat and toil every step.

RH Picture: Alec getting it right the second time. From here it was off past ‘Rocky Ridge’ to Pipeline. Bryn tried to conquer Pipeline and eventually managed to get up but not before lots of sweat and serious energy usage.

View from half way up Pipeline, we have made an escape route about half way up for the not so brave or as some people say, the sane riders!

From there we headed directly off to lunch at a new location, check out the Ifafa picnic site.

Our next ride is on 5th September and then the next A-Team ride is on the 25th September.

Until then have a good one!
